I LOAF YOU!
The Black Rock City Honoraria Letter of Intent (LOI) season has arrived!
This year I'm submitting I LOAF YOU!
After the crazy amazing build and event week at Burning Man (thanks to my crew and helpers!) for the Purrmaid, I am ready to build within my wheelhouse.
Don't get me wrong! I'm still thrilled with how the actual Purrmaid sculpture turned out and I want to purrsue that method of fabrication in the future. I loved the purrocess so meowch!
But I love, love, love creating big cats using the metal rings I've used with my past sculptures, the Purr Pods and Trust.
I'm envisioning an entire clowder of kitties in the "loaf" position. To me, seeing my cats in that position tells me they feel safe and comfortable.
And that's what I'd like to catribute for the purrticipants at Burning Man. Seeing the cats in that comfy position could signal a sense of calm in what can be a very chaotic environment.
My goal is to have touch reactive lighting changes and purrhaps a little purring for further relaxation.
A nearby support structure that resembles either a cat tree or a cardboard box will support the solar panels and house the batteries and controllers.
