The Purrmaid Has Fur!

Hello everybody!
It's been a minute!
The Purrmaid form landed at my shop, The New Shop, in Richmond last week.
Now she gets metal! I really wanted her cat half to look like she's covered in fur and I have taken on a time-consuming purrocess fur sure. By cutting up metal wire into small chunks (thankfully, with help!), and laying out the pieces over the form, it's looking pretty cool! Totally worth it...I hope! š¹
With the help of my friend, we are figuring out how to build, while still safely supporting, a big ol' bat ray on the top of the sculpture that will also hold, and safely support, the solar panels. Lots of head scratching while laying out a full-sized cardboard template (cut by SoulMind Studios!) on the ground.
More purrogress:
Stripping zinc off washers with vinegar to use as bubbles and scales.
Picked up some interesting scrap metal at CASS in West Oakland for sea life.
And thanks to my friend Goose at Big Fun Stuff (again!) who helped me create a useful kelp layout and to John Howell for making it a reality!
Purrlease share by sending your generous, big cat art loving friends the link to this campaign and let them know that their donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE thanks to my arts based non-profit fiscal sponsor, ArtPush.
As of today, we've made it to 28% of our goal with 64 Catributors!
Thank mew! >^..^<
